Composed during the course of Dick Lourie’s work as a music teacher in New York State, this collection has been designed for kids and adults alike. Those with little voices (the songs are aimed at three- to nine-year-olds) will enjoy singing interactive songs on themes like “Apple Snacks” and “Great Big Buildings.” Those with big voices will appreciate how the songs encourage a child’s creativity. As Lourie acknowledges, the songs may be complex in conception, but they are simple in execution.
