Canadian French horn player Louis-Philippe Marsolais won the second prize at the ARD Music Competition in 2005, as well as being the first award-winner of the OehmsClassics special prize for a complete CD production. In time for this year’s ARD Music Competition, the young horn player’s debut CD has now been published. Marsolais selected a programme consisting of compositions for French horn and piano from the German Romantic period for his portrait album.
