The namesake of the delian::quartet is the Greek god
Apollo who was also called Delian after the place of
his birth, the island Delos. As god of the fine arts, he
honours the muses, especially music.
OehmsClassics is now presenting the third CD by
this successful ensemble, this time in co-production
with Deutschlandfunk. After „crescendo“ reported
in detail about the „shooting stars delian::quartet“
in 2008, the magazine „ensemble“ and a number of
other specialist publications also acknowledged the
extraordinary development of the Quartet with major
portraits featuring them.
