Still riding the momentum of their international "20 Printemps" tour (100,000 tickets sold; winner of a 2022 Félix, a 2023 Opus, and a 2023 Songlines Music Award for the Americas), this legendary Quebec quintet of vocalists and multi-instrumentalists remains constantly in motion, fully engaged with the present. With the release of their 13th album, they explore the theme of "neighborhoods" - sources of universal inspiration. They open their doors to embrace the spirit of good neighborliness. They hope to see ideas of sharing flourish and to foster the best for the common good. They celebrate musical neighbors that enrich their repertoire: the Celtic traditions of Ireland and Scotland, American folk, and the songs of Acadia and French-speaking America. They honor neighbors like the rivers, and the witnesses to history - battles won or lost, abuses, losses, friendships, and, above all, love. Five-part harmonies, foot-tapping rhythms, the hurdy-gurdy, bouzouki, Quebec *bombarde*, and melodies from fiddle and accordion tell the story of a local traditional music scene that is rich, vibrant, and inventive. Listeners are invited to dance, to be moved by the power of the spoken and sung word, and to draw new energy from these eternal travelers who remain deeply rooted in their heritage.
