Folk singer and songwriter Gordon Bok grew up around the boatyards of Camden, Maine, and spent his early years working on a variety of vessels, learning tunes, sea songs, legends, stories, and ballads from the people he worked with. Schooners is a stirring musical tribute to all those splendid schooners that have helped shape Maine's coastal communities. Bok is joined by harpist Carol Rohl, The Quasimodal Chorus, and others.
"It was Lois Lyman's two fine songs about the Wiscasset schooners that nudged me into putting this album together." - Gordon Bok
