Offshore Blues & Zydeco is another release from Lawtell, Lousiana's Roy Carrier, a triple-row accordion player with deep roots in the energetic zydeco tradition. Featured on this record is a large selection of new compositions alongside other blues and zydeco favorites, including those by Carrier's cousin "King of Zydeco" Clifton Chenier, bluesman Jimmy Reed, and more. Joining Carrier is his band the Night Rockers, comprised of his nephews Kevin (scrubboard/chorus) and Ronald Carrier (and bass), son Troy Carrier (drums), and friend Raymond Randle (guitar).
