Per Nørgård and Jakob Kullberg began their collaboration fifteen years ago and it has developed every year since resulting in many works from Nørgård that seems tailorfit to Kullberg's versatile playing. Nordheim's title denotes darkness and night - designating the Roman Catholic service of the same name. This recording marks the beginning of the collaboration between Kullberg and the composer and is likely to be a collaboration worth noticing.
