      Es war eine außergewöhnliche Besetzung, die sich am 01. November 1980 beim Paris Jazz Festival zu einem Quintett versammelte. Auf der einen Seite drei Protaginsten der europäischen Jazzszene: der Pianist Gordon Beck aus London, der französische Kontrabassist Jean-Francois Jenny-Clark und zuletzt der italienisch-persische Drummer Aldo Romano. Auf der anderen Seite zwei aufstrebende Musiker der Progressive Rock Szene: Der britische Gitarrist Allan Holdsworth und der erst 24jährige Didier Lockwood and der Violine. Beide Lager vereinigten sich und ihre musikalischen Ursprünge aus Modern-Jazz und Electric Fusion zu einem einmaligen Live-Erlebnis.
