Music on this album begun with the compositions of Lucjan Wesolowski written for theatre performance 'The Jungle Book', exhibited at Lódz Puppet Theatre 'Arlekin' in 2017. Then, the musical material from the performance was enriched: the compositions were extended and rearranged, a lot of interesting instruments were added, and the composer decided to add some new songs. In this way music based on Indian motifs and sounds was created, but it also referred to the European, Arab and African musical tradition. Beside Indian instruments on the album appeared also instruments from other countries, such as Arabic lute 'oud', Greek stringed instrument 'bouzouki', Nigerian percussion instrument 'udu', Arabic drum 'darabuka', zither, fretless guitar or classical guitar. We are dealing with a meeting of different cultures and traditions, although the Indian motifs and sounds dominate, according to the main story from J.R. Kipling's 'The Jungle Book', which takes place in India. We invite you to listen!
