Ola Monko/Aleksandra Monko - Allen - pianist and composer who gains inspirations mostly from work of Bobby Timmons, McCoy Tyner, Horace Silver, Lee Morgan, John Coltrane czy Art Blakey. She studied jazz and contemporary music at Katowice, Poland, then at City College of New York, with musician such as John Patitucci, John Hicks i Ronney Mathews. She graduated form University of the District of Columbia in Washington from dr Marvy Cooper piano class. For six years she concucted Gospel Choir in Mt. Calvary Catholic Church w Forestville, Maryland. In Washington she worked with Butch Warren, Eric Allen, Ephraim Wolfolk, Catarina Racha czy Vanessa Williams. She played in 'Tribute to Charlotte Holloman' at University of the District of Columbia in USA. After thirteen years of living in USA she came back to Poland. Album 'Wherever You are' is the story aboud someone who would love to share with the others his love to the music, which is expressed through piano sounds.
