After a first solo record with BMG and her collaborations with the main Spanish flamenco artists, the gypsy cantaora (flamenco singer) Esperanza Fernandez launches a new release titled “recuerdos”(memories) with the Cosas bonitas label.

Esperanza Fernández has gipsy blood in her veins and you can hear it and see it. A performer of palpable charisma, Fernandez is able to bring an audience to hush when singing a capella. Heir of an illustrious clan of singers and dancers from the gypsy neighbourhood of Triana in Sevilla, she begin very early to sing and dance with the best names of the flamenco, first with her family and soon as a professional singer with the legendary Camaron de la isla (For the potro de rabia y miel recording) but also with Enrique Morente, Paco de Lucia.

An her impressive curriculum vitae could be detailed in 3 or 4 pages: she has visited the most important music halls from the temple of the flamenco, the Lope de vega in Sevilla to the New york theatre, the Paris Flamenco festival, sharing the top of the bill with Yehudi Menuhin. Her debut album with BMG, has been a record of sales for a flamenco one. And she’s know releasing the second one after six busy years of projects to let us astonished again with the ardour and the technical virtuosity of an elite performer of the genre.
