The marimbist Fumito Nunoya enjoys international
acclaim as one of the foremost marimba players of the
present day. Born in Odate, Japan (a small city in the
district of Akita), he is presently living in the district
of Herford in Germany, and has been teaching the
marimba at the Academy of Music in Detmold since
2009. In addition to his performances in Germany
and within Europe, he also regularly travels to give
concerts in Japan and in the USA.
