    German Record Critics' Award publishes longlist for the fourth quarter of 2025

    Since its inception in 1963, the German Record Critics' Award has honoured high-quality recordings selected by juries in 32 categories. The longlists published prior to the actual quarterly award ceremony show the preliminary selections in each category, from which the jurors then choose their final winners. The longlist for the fourth quarter of 2025 once again includes several Galileo releases. In the Jazz I category, the album ‘Arrangements and Compositions for Jazz Orchestra’ by Ed Partyka, ‘Trumpet Tales’ by Klaus Wienerroither & Barbara Bruckmüller Big Band and ‘Hanamichi: The Final Studio Recording Vol. II’ by Masabumi Kikuchi are listed. Lina and Marco Mezquida with ‘O Fado’ and Nancy Vieira & Fred Martins with ‘Esperança’ are in the Traditional Ethnic Music category, while BonificiaEmilianaVeneta's “Quattro” and José Peixoto & Nuno Cintrão's ‘Visita – Diálogos com Carlos Paredes’ have made the shortlist in the Folk and Singer/Songwriter category ...more
