“Preparation is everything. In my case, the morning ritual is coffee, a rolled cigarette, and a loud THANK YOU. If I’m lucky, one or two lyric lines come to me. This is my ‘ok-go’ to continue writing. Sometimes it takes thirty minutes, sometimes a couple of hours, and the lyric sheet is full. I pick up the guitar, she always tells me what to play. I think: Hmm, that’s kinda cool, I wanna record this, just so I won’t forget. After this is done, I listen to the guitar part and start singing a melody, the lyric sheet in my hand. Most of the time things happen too fast to warm up my voice or change the mic-setup from guitar to vocal. I need to record the vocal right now. The microphones still in the guitar-recording-position, the lyric sheet still in my hand, I am bending way down as if sitting on the toilet with my elbows on my thighs, singing the song. Of course no recording engineer in the world would recommend this. But I don't care, cause I am the recording engineer. The rest is still more joy, still more magic, and a whole lot of production work”. Mario

Mario Knapp - Album Maker - Guitarist – Singer

Having worked as a studio musician/songwriter for many years making records with great artists from all over the world, Mario decides to take a new path. In 2011 he starts his ’One-Man-Orchestra' Mobile Ethnic Minority, recording in his own studio in Munich/Germany. It's Me, Mario Vol.1 is his 17th Solo Album.
