“I Stugun” is the debut duo album by accordionist Vegard Hansen (Aure) and fiddler Ragna Valde Sletten (Vågå). The tunes on the album are diverse in origin and expression, ranging from minuets from the 18th century to newly composed music. Additionally, the musicians have drawn tunes from local archives, which have now been given a new musical interpretation. The traditional areas of Ottadalen and Nordmøre are central to this production, featuring several tunes from Rolf Sletten, Ole Nilsen Brekkan, and Hallvard Ørsal. Through several years of collaboration, including at the Ole Bull Academy in Voss, the duo has developed their own unique expression, which is showcased on this album.
