The new artwork by Maurizio Geri is a masterpiece moving, as he himself says, within evidence and creation.
It’s a journey in the territory of the pistoiese mountain through poetry and songs describing on one side caricatural anecdotes about some characters and on their stories and on the other side an itinerary related to the traditional crafts such as the production of natural ice or charcoal and handicrafts such as the iron manifacturing.
This journey takes the moves from the activity promoted by the Ecomuseum of the pistoiese mountain, and it then plays out its forms and contents in a poetic way.
A hundred of poems are collected in the volume. Ten of them have become songs and are included in the CD.
Within this framework made up of ironic and serious narrations there’s room for various sociological and anthropological elements, such as the description of a territory through its most original and seemingly contradictory aspects, in a project aiming to portray the veracity and the mutability of a community, more than analyzing it.
