Goodfellas Records is proud to announce the return of Nidi D’arac who will be marking their 25th anniversary with a new album: IT/ALIENS.

After eight records, Nidi can be easily considered as pioneers in the field of Italian World Music. The new album shows the perfect convergence between Folk roots and contemporary Rock music. Singing in their native dialect from Salento, Nidi D’arac know how to tell dark stories from the south of Italy, including topics such as Mafia, Church, immigration, Football and the American Dream.

Recorded and produced in Paris, IT/ALIENS represents the band’s new musical perspective. An organic mixture of elements including Dub, Funk, Italian song form tradition, trance rhythms and New Wave atmospheres. The crossing point between tradition and modernity.

Nidi D’Arac have appeared in international festivals such as WOMAD, BABEL MED MUSIC (Marseille), World Music Expo WOMEX (Copenhagen), MONTREUX Jazz (Switzerland) and they often shared the stage with artists like Goran Bregovic, Jimmy Cliff, Salif Keita e Rokia Traoré, Joe Zawinul, Cesaria Evora, Khaled...
